Hi, I'm Shelly - the heart behind Hen & Harvest. I'm a proud mom of three amazing kids and a very happy grandma to my sweet grandson. As my older two children have grown more independent, I finally found the time to pour into something just for me. It all started when my son mentioned he wanted a few chickens...I figured it would be a short-lived adventure until a coyote or fox came along.
Well, those "few chickens" turned into a full-blown passion.
We built my dream coop, and now caring for my flock has become one of my favorite ways to spend time. From collecting fresh eggs to watching their personalities shine, this little hobby has brought so much joy to our home.
