Fermentation really taking off now, it was a slow start, but dry yeast starts slower. Tasted awesome, most people have never had something like this. It's close to the famous Schlenkerla Smoked b**r from Bamberg Germany many consider to be one of the best in the world. Had it on draft a couple years ago and it was out of this world good. Then bought bottles but it was not as good. So now I will have it on draft!

Batch 70 today. Maybe one more next year we'll see. German Smoked Dark L***r. Ready around Christmas at the earliest.

New German Vienna L***r on tap. Calling it "Almost Sammy". Sam Adams Boston L***r is a Vienna L***r. Small keg for a month or so, bottles around Thanksgiving. 5.7% ABV.

Fermenting at 50 degrees. L***rs ferment cool, ales warm.

Today's brew day is a cross between a Vienna L***r and Octoberfest, more of a Fest Bier. Could even end up similar to a Sam Adams Boston L***r. Kegging half, ready in October and November; bottles best from December long into next year.
