Crow Creek Ranch Company, LLC The Crow Creek Ranch Company is located in Toston, Montana. Established in 1896, brought back to life beginning 2012.

Homesteaded in the late 1800's the Crow Creek Ranch Company specialized in raising poled Hereford cattle. Fully self sustaining with gardens, orchards, meat house, cattle & abundant wildlife; the ranch was operated by the Poe family. Today the ranch is owned and operated by Dan & Kristi Spoon along with their two children Bridger & Darby. We've re-directed our focus to top of the line Red Angus, producing both registered and FI cross, high quality, natural calves.

New life on a chilly night. From the time the feet were out, this mama delivered her baby and had it cleaned up in about 20 minutes. Her baby was up and nursing in another 10. How they know each other instantaneously is so fascinating to me. Mother Nature never fails to amaze me.

On Thursday we hit the ground running with the AI group of our 2025 babies. 956 is the mama cow who put me into the fence a few years back. She's a a very protective and good mama. She surprised us with twins as the first to arrive!
note: for those that are concerned that she looks thin, she was as wide as the barn before she delivered these 2. She's very healthy and will bounce back to her fighting weight (which I personally know from first-hand experience) quickly!
