🍓 Kitchen Day: Stocking Up for the Season! 🥔
There is nothing quite like the feeling of a full pantry and a stocked freezer. Today was all about preserving the best of the harvest and prepping for those busy weekday mornings!
On the Menu Today:
• Small-Batch Strawberry Jelly: We turned crates of sun-ripened strawberries into jars of ruby-red goodness. No store-bought jam can compete with that "just-picked" flavor!
• Hand-Shredded Hash Browns: We spent the afternoon peeling, shredding, and blanching mounds of local potatoes. These are now flash-frozen and ready to hit the griddle for the perfect crispy breakfast.
Why We Do It:
It’s a lot of work, but knowing exactly what goes into our food—no preservatives, just simple ingredients—makes every minute worth it. Plus, the house smells absolutely incredible right now!
