Dovetail Farm Dovetail Farm is a small family farm located in Walker County, Alabama.

We breed and show registered miniature silky fainting goats (MSFGA) as well as breed registered myotonic goats (MGR).

Wow!! What a weekend for our farm at The Midwest MSFGA Show!!

We’re heading home with class ribbons for all 6 goats we brought, Grand Champion ribbons for 4 of the 6, a reserve for another, TWO new master champions (pending verification), AND the very first Grand for a goat from our breeding! 🤯🤯 It was a good weekend for sure!!

So grateful for another opportunity to show our sweet goats and even more grateful for the time we got to spend with friends. ♥️ We love our animals, but we certainly wouldn’t haul them all over the country if it weren’t for the people we get to hang out with while doing it!! Truly an amazing group of folks that I cherish my time with.

Results (pending verification):

Aislinn Meadows Camry picked up one Grand and one Reserve in Saturday morning shows to complete her Master Champion journey as a Senior Doe.

Big Sky Silkies Talala Wynter picked up a Reserve in morning shows and a Grand and Reserve in afternoon shows on Saturday to complete her Master Champion journey at 19 months old!

DCB Farms She’s My Cherry Pie picked up her first Grand in Sunday morning Junior Doe shows. Hopefully more to come! 🤞🏼

Dovetail Fiddle in the Band grabbed himself a third and 2 fourth place ribbons in his Junior Buck class.

Dovetail Dollar and a Dream picked up a Grand in morning shows and a Reserve in afternoon shows on Saturday in the Junior Buck class. This is a first for a breeding from our farm and we are thrilled!!

SRL Pistol Pete picked up a Reserve Grand in the Senior Buck class on Sunday to finish off our weekend on a great note!!

Happy Sunday!!

We opened up another pasture for some of our does and they are thrilled!!

They haven’t been in this area for a couple of months so they are thoroughly enjoying themselves.

It’s extremely hot and humid today so we’re trying to get this fencing project done early. Fencing never ends around here. I think we have about the next ten years worth of fencing planned out. Of course that will change continuously. 🤣 We also plan to wean some babies today. What are you doing today?

The structure on this girl is top notch and she will add a lot to our program. I have no doubts she’ll be on our show string next year. Super excited to see her continue to grow!!

Happy Wednesday!!

Help us welcome our two new baby girls!!

Contessa and Tex gave us two gorgeous doelings on the night of the 4th of July and she is an amazing mom.

I was so excited for this pairing and it certainly didn’t disappoint. And two perfect little girls at that!! We are thrilled with these two and can’t wait to see them grow.

Dovetail Zenyatta Dream is one of my favorite baby girls from the spring. The width on this girl is phenomenal and I’m so excited to see her continue to grow. ♥️
