It was a dream come true to see some of the Dead Sea Scrolls. ✨

The scrolls were discovered in 11 different caves between 1946-1956 on the shores of the Dead Sea. They are the oldest known copies of the Hebrew Bible dating between the third century BC and the first century 1 AD. Every book of the Old Testament has been found excluding the book of Esther. The finalized Hebrew Canon of course does not include the book of Enoch, Jubilees or Tobit.. (Apocryphal books)

Every morning "Goosey" waits for his friends to fly in and drop a visit. Goosey has been living here for years with a broken wing and unable to fly. He is well taken care of and loves his daily company. He even has a girlfriend.🥰

The Megiddo Mosaic is what led to this DC trip. Back in February I saw a documentary on the historic floor and it was something we HAD to see before it moves to another location.

Found under a maximum security prison in Israel, this is one of the most significant finds since the dead sea scrolls. Dating back to 230 AD, this is the oldest evidence for Christian church gatherings and names Jesus as God! ✨
