I hit up the Mennonite produce stands after my market today two things I’m super excited about that usually get thrown away.
Garlic scapes from Ridgecrest Gardens and carrot tops 😂

I’m a garlic fiend so I’ve been very impatient waiting for Wendy to harvest and cure her garlic harvest this year. I just used up all my powdered garlic so I’ll use a bit to make some garlic powder but the rest is getting pickled. Because I just love to pickle. Plus my daughter loves everything pickled. Regular pickles, pickled okra, pickled quail eggs no matter what flavor.

The carrot tops I haven’t decided yet. Maybe a pesto, or a chimichurri sauce.
Maybe I’ll just eat them.
