We live on a homestead and are very conscious about our food and diet at home. We bring our believes into our kitchen at De Food Truck and make sure we only use good, safe, traceable ingredients in order to provide a wholesome meal that has been carefully prepared with love. We cut our own potatoes and double cook our fries because we don't like to compromise. LOCAL PRODUCE:
We try and buy everything we sell local to insure quality and to help support local businesses. All our meat and fish is high quality and comes from Honor Family Market in Honor MI. All fish we buy is sustainably wild caught and we try and make sure our meats are as local as possible. We care about what we cook, we care about our wonderful community and are very grateful for their support! ALLERGY SAFE
Here at De Food Truck we care about allergies and dietary food choices alike. Our kitchen is 101% Gluten Free. We fry in Canola oil to avoid SOY. We have a fryer dedicated for our fries and falafel in order to make sure vegans can eat guilt free too. Talk to us about your needs and we will always to everything we can to provide you a good, safe meal.

💔 Well… it looks like De Food Truck is calling it a season.

We’ve been waiting patiently for our final inspection in Traverse City, hoping we could get everything wrapped up and get back to serving you.

Unfortunately, by the time that inspection happens, there will only be a handful of days left in the food truck season. And as much as we hate to say it, it just doesn’t make sense to pull everything back out for such a short window.

So, regretfully, it looks like we are done for the season.

And that one hurts. We had more food to make, more people to feed, and more good times planned. We were really hoping to finish this season strong.

But before we close the window on 2026, we want to say THANK YOU. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who found us in Mesick.
Thank you to everyone who followed us to TC Wh***ey.
Thank you to everyone who came back again and again, brought friends, tried something new, told somebody about us, shared our posts, and supported this crazy little food truck adventure.

You helped make this one heck of a season.

From Korean pulled beef to walleye, lamb, ribs, peaches, rice bowls, fried dinners and everything in between… we sure did cook up some memories. 🥹

We are incredibly grateful for every single one of you who stopped by and supported De Food Truck this year.

🚨 DE FOOD TRUCK UPDATE 🚨

Our last post was made in anticipation of our fire department inspection, and honestly, we were really hoping to have it done today. Unfortunately, that inspection still hasn’t happened yet. 😕

As much as we’d love to open the window and start feeding everyone, we can’t officially open until that inspection is completed.

We’re ready. The food is ready. The truck is ready. We’re just waiting on that final green light. 🟢

We know you’re waiting to eat, and believe us… we’re ready to feed you! 😂

We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know more. Hopefully we’ll have some good news soon!

They’ll be rolling out Friday & Saturday, and if we’re lucky enough to have some left for Sunday… well, Sunday might get a little tastier too. 😉

The countdown is officially ON! 🥶🍂

TODAY — WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 — IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO GET DE FOOD TRUCK UNTIL TUESDAY!

We’ll be CLOSED Thursday, September 10 through Monday, September 14, and then we’re BACK at it Tuesday, September 15!

This lamb has been slow-cooked until it practically forgot it was ever an animal. 😂 Tender, juicy, ridiculously flavorful, and piled over rice. It’s the kind of good that makes you mad you didn’t order two.

🚨 MESICK… TODAY’S THE DAY! 🚨

Well folks, the inevitable has arrived. 😢

Today, Friday 9/3, will be our LAST DAY in Mesick for the season.

Unfortunately, traffic has become less than substantial lately. 😂 School is back in session, summer is winding down, and apparently we need to go find a few more humans to feed! So, it’s time for De Food Truck to relocate for one final push of the season.

But before we roll out… THANK YOU, MESICK! ❤️

What an incredible summer you’ve given us. You supported us, laughed with us, ate an absolutely ridiculous amount of food, and made this little spot at the roundabout feel like home. We genuinely appreciate every single one of you who stopped by.

So let's CELEBRATE TODAY! 🎉
