Help us support the Women's Resource Center for the Grand Traverse Area ❤️

Juliette and Cindy from the Women’s Resource Center stopped by Oryana to share how our community can help support local survivors and families in need.

Now through October 17, we’re collecting donations at both Oryana locations to support WRC’s mission of protecting, sheltering, and empowering those impacted by domestic and sexual violence.

🛒 Want to help? Pick up a few extra items while you shop and drop them off at the WRC donation tables at either store!

❤️ Double your donation! Purchase a $20 pre-packed food bag filled with pantry essentials, and Oryana will match it with another donated bag!

Every donation makes a difference. Let’s come together to support our neighbors!

You may already be buying from co-ops without realizing it! 🛒💚

In celebration of National Co-op Month, we’re highlighting three cooperatively owned brands you can find at Oryana: Tillamook County Creamery Association, Westby Coop Creamery, and Kerrygold USA.

Each of these brands has roots in the cooperative model, bringing farmers together through shared ownership and a shared stake in their success.

Take a look through to learn more about the co-ops behind some familiar favorites on our shelves!

It’s National Co-op Month, and we’re celebrating the cooperative businesses that help make our community stronger! 💛

We teamed up with TBA Credit Union to talk about what it means to be a financial cooperative and how their member-owned model keeps people at the heart of their work. Just like Oryana, TBA Credit Union is owned by the people it serves, giving members a voice and allowing resources to be reinvested into services and benefits for their membership and community.

Want to learn more? Stop by Oryana West tomorrow, October 6, from 10 AM–6 PM! TBA Credit Union will be tabling in-store to share more about their cooperative business model, student-led programs, and more.

Happy National Co-op Month! ✨

How reliant is America on imported food? 🌎🥬

America’s food supply is increasingly connected to producers beyond our borders, and the gap between agricultural imports and exports continues to grow.

According to the USDA, the U.S. imported $41 billion more in agricultural products than it exported in 2025. Over the past decade, imports grew at an average annual rate of 5.8%, compared to just 2.3% for exports.

Mexico alone accounts for roughly one-third of U.S. horticultural imports by value, including fruits, vegetables, beverages, and other products.

Take a look at the numbers and learn more about the growing role of imports in America's food supply. ➡️
