Bowers Harbor Vineyards offers wine and hard cider samples, wine by the glass, hard cider by the pint, bottles of wine and hard cider to take home with you, and flexible Wine Club memberships! The road along Old Mission Peninsula leads

over rolling orchards and vineyards that are frames to the east and west by the waters of Grand Traverse Bay. Each rise in the road exposes gorgeous panoramic views. Meticulously manicured vineyards and flower gardens will entice your eyes as you enter the estate. We hope you will come see for yourself and enjoy our unique and beautiful winery, stunning views with wines to match!

The ultimate fluffy takeover has arrived at the Dog W**ery of the North! 🐾🍷

Last week we had the absolute joy of hosting a magnificent pack of 8 Bernese Mountain Dogs here at Bowers Harbor Vineyards! We toured, they walked us and then they went off for a day at the beach with their mom. We imagine this is what heaven looks like 🐶🦴

It’s that time of the year where our most commonly asked question is “what are those nets for?” “Do the different colors mean anything?”

Well remember last week when we told you about veraison? Well when this stage happens in the life of a grape, and they start to get plump and change color, our neighborhood critters like the birds and deer can see the fruit. The netting is in effort to prevent them from stealing our future w**e juice. It usually works!

And no, the different colored netting does not depict anything for us here at BHV.

We spy with our w**e eyes….

VERAISON! The critical transition stage where hard, green grapes begin to soften, change color, and accumulate sugars. Early-ripening varieties like Pinot Noir are showing the first distinct shifts in color, while later varietals continue steady berry sizing and development ahead of the upcoming fall harvest.

Come take a peek (no touch) for yourself!
