On tonight's episode of "Why the heck do we have pigs...?" You will see Shooby, literally too fat to walk or stand because he and our boar, Pumba, were crafty and found out how to open the slide on the bottom of the grain bin... emptying the remaining contents that were supposed to last another month 🤦🏻‍♀️

I always knew pigs were smart, but this sliding mechanism is tricky for humans to maneuver, so we were not expecting this at all. Currently moving the pigs to a grain free pasture area so they can digest this mess. Typically, they are nowhere near the grain bin, but we were allowing them in a temporary pasture to crush all the weeds and apparently this was a massive mistake 😒

We have three adorable bucklings that are ready for their new homes! They just turned 8 weeks old today 😊 If you happened to visit with us at the Kingsley Farmers Market, you've already met Butterbean, Vincent Van Goat, and Buster. They are Nigerian Dwarf/Mini LaMancha crosses. They can be left in tact or banded before leaving our farm. They have already been disbudded and are current on CDT. Please message if you'd like additional information.

Amelia decided to change this little one's name to "Mushroom" 😂 she is such a sweet girl! 😍

Woke up and found Marshmallow had her mini-me 😍😍😍 our only doeling born this year. Amelia named the baby "Oak" and we are so happy she and momma are doing great!

It was a beautiful morning to work on some fence repairs and say hello to our Tibetan Yak Bulls 🙂
We put out a few hunting cameras for the upcoming season earlier this week, and are hopefully this buck bachelor groups sticks around!

Check out the Kingsley Farmers Market this afternoon from 3-7 for Farm Animal Week! We do not have our regular vendor booth set up, but will be there with some adorable baby goats for y'all to enjoy 😍

Another successful shearing day! A huge thank you to our shearer Brian, and our friends Beth and Doug, for joining in and helping out BIG time! So much incredible wool 😍😍😍

Speaking of wool... we have several full fleece available! Reach out if you are interested in purchasing any raw wool before I send it to the mill. We have some awesome Teeswater locks that would be great for a variety of projects as well as other wool types that spin up beautifully 🙂

Beautiful day to plan some trees and rotate the animal pastures! We are planting lots of willow trees—great farm benefits from them!
