Ridgeback Stables is located on the east side of Grand Traverse Bay, nestled in among 20 acres of pastures, rolling hills, and striking Bay vistas. Just a short drive from Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, we provide quality, full-service training and boarding in a secure setting so private it can’t be seen from the road. At Ridgeback Stables you can relax knowing your horse is safe when you’re not around, and won’t be spooked or distracted by traffic when you are.

We would like to wish congratulations to Chelsea Parsons as she takes on a new adventure as an Assistant Trainer at Indian Creek in Columbia City, Indiana. We have enjoyed having Chelsea with the Ridgeback and Valeria team over the last few years, but look forward to watching her continued growth and success with Indian Creek. Our Story

Ridgeback Stables is located on the east side of Grand Traverse Bay, nestled in among 20 acres of pastures, rolling hills, and striking Bay vistas. Just a short drive from Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, we provide quality, full-service boarding in a secure setting so private it can’t be seen from the road. At Ridgeback Stables you can relax knowing your horse is safe when you’re not around, and won’t be spooked or distracted by traffic when you are.

Our beautiful facility offers a bright and spacious 80 x 180 indoor arena, fully matted 12 x 12 stalls, wash rack with heated water, individual tack lockers, and large pasture turn-outs. We welcome all breeds and disciplines, in a low key family friendly atmosphere. From your family pony to your Grand Prix Champion, we treat them all like our own. Ridgeback is home to Valeria Morgans LLC, a national level Morgan breeding program. Prospects and finished show horses available.

If horses are already your passion, or you are looking for a new hobby, Ridgeback Stables lesson program has successfully taught many beginner to advanced riders. We stress the fundamentals of good horsemanship, and ensure every rider has the tools need to succeed. Adults and children of every level are welcome to come learn on one of our Western, Hunt Seat, or Saddle Seat horses.
