After almost 10 years were sadly going to be moving on from the Villa Villelyon brand. It was our farm name in South Lyon. But we're now 2 years strong with our new farm in Traverse City, Camp Dubonett . If you haven't already, please follow our adventures there. We still have goats and are making soaps, lotions and more! We truly appreciate the support you all have given. We couldn't have done it without you!

It's been a while since we've posted anything but rest assured, we've been busy! We have two batches of soap curing and we want to introduce a new product to our line "Awesome Lip Balm!" It's made with bees wax from our bees, Shea butter, coconut oil and essential oils. It's super good and natural! It will be available in stores soon and we'll have our website able to purchase items online shortly.

Tried a new cheese recipe today. Instead of fresh squeezed lemon juice we used white vinegar. We learned that it took much more of the fat out of the milk, which is great! The recipe said to let it drain for 4-5 hours. We checked after 4 and it was really dry. Great for speed except we had to break it up to season it. We luckily kept some of the whey to make some soup so we added some back in. We'll see if it works. Our neighbors will be the judges! We also tried our first attempt at a sweet cheese. We added dried cranberries, honey and some Food For Thought brand Blackberry Shiraz preserves. Fingers crossed!

We took the ladies for a walk yesterday to deliver some cheese to our neighbors. On the walk they really enjoyed all of the pine tree branches they could find! Interestingly, on the the walk back, as soon as they saw the barn they started trying to run back to it, even ignoring all of the branches. We didn't realize that, since only two weeks, they may realize the comfort of their new home!
