It still makes me laugh that coming up our mountain the pressure increases. The bag was normal when we left Kalispell. One day one is going to blow.

Momma brought her baby out to see us and get her used to the dogs and chickens. Too cute! Love the one sticking out her tongue.

One thing living in Montana has taught is to take the time and slow down and look at the marvels in front of me. Everyday we see something here that makes me smile and fills my heart. Hope you see her too

Even on a 96 degree day, nature continues to provide us wonders. One if our does comes everyday to rest by the chicken coop.

Today our precious Josie crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. From her diagnosis of cancer in January, she had 9 fabulous months, being pampered, riding dirty with us everywhere, walking the property, befriending our does and especially "munking" (trying her best to catch the chipmunks that aggravated the dogs this summer. Thank you so much Kerry Waters for allowing us to be her family these past 10 1/2 years. She was an amazing Mom to our Bent Pine pups, several of whom are service and therapy dogs.
God blessed us further by making her end short. Thursday morning she woke up completely different by not wanting to help me Sous chef at breakfast, or even eating. Yesterday she slept all day and expended whatever energy she had just to go out to bathroom. Today we took her to an amazing vet clinic in Whitefish where we were treated to a special room for our last moments. She was ready and we knew our Josie would never be able to get better. She passed so peacefully and my last words to her were to play nice at the Rainbow Bridge and not feel she had to tell everyone what to do. She will be greatly missed.
As we have named our property here in Montana "Angel's Rest" she will be our first angel on the farm.

Josie's Bucket List!

Two months ago Josie, our Momma dog was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She is working on her bucket list and could use some suggestions. Some of her current items are:
Going to the beach (Flathead Lake)
Homemade ice cream from G's in Eureka, Mt
Going to the Sun Road, Glacier Natl Park
Having a grilled meat plate from Dad when
warmer
Mudman burger with fries
Riding Hwy 93 with the windows down and
70's rock and roll on the radio
Going fishing at Little Terrihault Lake

We would love to know yal's ideas. We hope to complete her list and let her last days be the best!
