🌻 You’re Invited to the Roo Crew Farms Field Day! 🌻

Join us on Thursday, July 9 at 7:00 PM for an evening in the flowers as we share what we’ve learned through our on-farm sunflower w**d management research.

We’ll walk through the field, discuss different w**d control strategies, share results from our Western SARE-funded project, and talk openly about what worked, what didn’t, and how these practices impact profitability on a small farm.

Whether you’re a farmer, gardener, student, or simply curious about local agriculture, we’d love to have you join us!

If you've ever planted anything in your life, you've probably spent some time w**ding. While w**ding for 20 minutes may feel satisfying, w**ding has a nasty habit of creeping into the profit margin of any farm, regardless of size. This year, Roo Crew Farms is enlisting in year 2 of data collection to determine what w**d control method works best on our farm. With a little patience and a lot of data collection we hope to grow a better crop more sustainably.

Happy Valenbirthday!! ❤️🎂 I was born on February 14, it’s like the Lord KNEW I would spend my life being obsessed with flowers. Since my birthday falls on a holiday My sweet partner supports me in celebrating Birthweek. It’s kind of our last big thing before he starts calving/big farm responsibilities and things start kick up on the flower farm. This week, he brought me new flowers EVERY day! So all week I just kept adding to my vases. Would I describe these designs as light and airy? No… not at all! But I love them!
