Researchers from the University of Edinburgh and the University of North Carolina conducted an important study (the link in the 1st comment).
THEY FOUND THAT REDUCING PROCESSED MEAT CONSUMPTION BY EVEN 1/3 — from 29.1 g to 20.4 g per day — COULD PREVENT OVER 350,000 CASES OF DIABETES IN USA OVER 10 YEARS.
It also:
✅ 92,500 fewer cases of cardiovascular disease
✅ Eliminate 53,300 cases of colorectal cancer
Remember that processed/processed/ultra-processed meat is any meat that has undergone additional processing to improve flavor, texture, and shelf life. This includes cured, smoked, and preserved meats from animals and poultry, such as sausages, bacon, corned beef, etc.
Also, we would like to emphasize the data on the negative effects of unprocessed but fried red meat: it can do more harm than good. But in general, we don't recommend giving up meat altogether — after all, it's a great source of easily digestible protein and antioxidants.
When cooked properly, beef, turkey, and chicken are very healthy — they can be boiled, roasted, braised, and steamed with the right cooking parameters. In fact, it is a whole science, so LifeChef has a whole team of doctors, nutritionists, and chefs working on it.
✔️So, cutting back on bacon, burgers, and other ultra-processed foods will improve our health. Do you eat processed meats — sausages, smoked meats, canned meats? WRITE "+" OR "-" IN THE COMMENTS⤵️
