A family-owned market offering homegrown and locally produced goods, year-round! All our produce is free from GMO's, pesticides, and other synthetic chemicals.

Schaefer's Farm Market produces the finest homegrown produce & flowers, along with a wide selection of home-produced jams, jellies, fruit butters, honey, eggs, and more. We grow a wide variety of vegetables & fruits on our farm using only sustainable growing practices, including good crop rotations and use of cover crops. Our high-quality, affordable plants are available in the spring and fall seasons. All grown on our farm from start to finish - hanging baskets, planters, bedding plants, herb plants, vegetable plants, mums & more. Join our CSA program...
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way for consumers to buy local, seasonal produce from a farmer in their community. In exchange for purchasing a "share" of the CSA, consumers receive all-natural, fresh, homegrown vegetables from our farm. Shares are meant to feed 2-4 people and are picked up weekly by the member. All produce provided through the CSA is grown on our farm and is picked fresh daily! Our CSA season consists of 22 weeks, Late May-Late October.

Well, we 𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 got all the mums into the greenhouses tonight. They’re packed full and we still had about 100 to cover out in the field. Thanks so much to everyone that grabbed a few this week! It sure made tonight a little easier.

We rescued the last zucchinis of the season before the freeze and picked bushels and bushels of peppers to put in the cooler. The high tunnels are snugged up too, to keep the late tomato crop going.

If you’ve got any annuals (yes, mums too!) or veggie plants that you’re not ready to let go of… get out tonight and cover them! It’s gonna be cold 🥶

It’s prime apple season, and we just got a whole bin of one of our favorites - EVERCRISP! 🍎

Have you ever dreamt of having a plant that thrives on being ignored? Or perhaps a plant that you can use as a weapon?

We can help! All of our large cacti are ready to be neglected in your home instead of our greenhouse. The best part? They’re only $29.99 🤯

Just plunk em in a spot with sunlight and carry on about your business. They might bother you for a drink once a month when kept indoors, but that’s about it. And when summer rolls around, put them back outside and let them enjoy the sunshine.

Come grab one before it gets cold!

Okay friends, help us out! 😅

We are SO ready for a break from plants. Not because we don’t love them, but because we’ve been going nonstop since February and we’re ready to wrap up plant season! We’ve got mums & other plants that we’d love to clear out, so please share this post with your friends!

𝕊𝕋𝔸ℝ𝕋𝕀ℕ𝔾 𝕎𝔼𝔻ℕ𝔼𝕊𝔻𝔸𝕐, 𝕆ℂ𝕋𝕆𝔹𝔼ℝ 𝟙𝟜𝕥𝕙:
🌼 9-INCH MUMS, 4 for $30
🌸 PANSIES, $15 per flat (32 plants)
🌻 12-INCH SUNFLOWERS - $14
🪷 3-INCH OR 4-INCH SUCCULENTS AND CHICK CHARMS - $3 (YES, CHICK TRIOS TOO)
🌴 MAJESTY PALMS - $12.50
🌱 1 GALLON HOSTAS - $8

𝔸 𝕗𝕖𝕨 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕤 𝕥𝕠 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨...
🪴Chick charms are perennial hens and chicks. Plant them in a pot or in the ground and they’ll come back every year + they multiply!
🪴Majesty palms can’t withstand the cold, but overwinter beautifully in a sunroom or something similar. We’d be keeping these if we had space for them, but we’re already looking pretty full for winter.
🪴 Pansies withstand frost and typically last into the early winter. You may even see them pop back up in the spring!
🪴 The 9-inch mums must be purchased in increments of 4 to get the sale price. They’re HUGE, most of them spanning 30+ inches. And, we still have all of the basic colors available.

We hope to see you this week to help us get a little closer to our “off-season”! 💚
