Don’t Dig up the seed!

06/11/2026

Three years ago, I planted a few comfrey roots with no idea where it would lead. I didn’t have hundreds of customers or thousands of followers. I simply kept planting, dividing, and multiplying what I had.

Season after season, I watched it grow. The leaves fed my animals. The plants made rich liquid fertilizer for the garden. Nothing was wasted.

Some people look for quick results. Farming taught me something different. Growth often happens quietly before anyone notices.

Today, my comfrey is reaching gardeners, homesteaders, and permaculture growers across the country. What started as a few roots became something much bigger through patience, consistency, and faith.

I grow what I eat. I grow what I need. And I keep planting seeds for tomorrow.

🌿 COMFREY UPDATE 🌿

Wow! We’ve now sold 485 comfrey cuttings and plants from our small family farm. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. 🙏

I’m running very low on stock, and once this batch is gone, you’ll have to wait for the next harvest.

Comfrey is one of my favorite plants in the garden. It’s great for compost, mulch, liquid fertilizer, animal fodder, and herbal salves.

I never imagined so many gardeners would be interested in this amazing plant. Thank you for helping us grow! 🌱

First come, first served.

🌿 Why Is Comfrey Trending in Permaculture?

Comfrey is becoming a favorite among permaculture gardeners because it’s one of the hardest-working plants in the garden.

✅ Natural Fertilizer – Its deep roots pull nutrients from deep in the soil and store them in the leaves. When chopped and dropped, those nutrients feed nearby plants.

✅ Fast-Growing Biomass – Comfrey produces large amounts of leaves several times a season, making it perfect for mulch and compost.

✅ Excellent Compost Activator – Rich in potassium, calcium, and other minerals that help speed up composting.

✅ Drought Resistant – Deep roots help it survive dry conditions once established.

✅ Pollinator Friendly – Bees love the flowers, helping support a healthy garden ecosystem.

✅ Medicinal Uses – Traditionally used in salves and herbal preparations, earning it the nickname “knitbone.”

🌱 Permaculture gardeners love comfrey because it works with nature, not against it. One plant can provide mulch, fertilizer, pollinator support, and soil improvement for years.

“The more you learn about comfrey, the more you wonder how you ever gardened without it.” 🌿💚
