DAY 9 — “Watch What Happens Next”
If you really want to understand demand…
Don’t start with numbers. Start with behavior. 👀
Pick any grocery store across NY, CT, MA, RI, NH, ME, or VT.
Stand back for a minute. And just watch.
Someone walks in.
Not wandering—not browsing like they’re killing time.
They move with intention. 🚶‍♂️
They don’t slow down at displays.
They don’t pause at options.
They are heading somewhere specific.
They turn into the aisle.
Go exactly where a product should be.
And then—They stop.
It’s subtle.
But it’s very real. ⏸️
That pause isn’t random.
That pause means: “This is where it should be… so why isn’t it?”
Sometimes they lean in.
Sometimes they scan the shelf again.
Sometimes they do that quick left-right eye check like they know they must have missed it. 😅
But they didn’t.
And in that moment, you learn something important:
This shopper wasn’t deciding.
They were confirming. And confirmation just failed.

“This Already Happened Before They Walked In”

Most people think shopping decisions happen in the aisle.
They don’t. 🤷‍♀️
They happen earlier.
In the kitchen.
In routines.
In those quiet, repetitive moments where someone cooks the same thing again and again without really thinking about it. 🔁
Across NY, CT, MA, RI, NH, ME, and VT, Taylor Pork Roll lives there.
Not on the shelf.
In memory. 🧠
Long before someone walks into a grocery store, the decision has already been made:
“I’m getting that.”
Not loudly.
Not consciously.
Just… assumed.
So, when they walk in, they’re not browsing.
They’re not scanning shelves for inspiration.
They are executing a plan. 🛒
And when ex*****on doesn’t go as planned… 🚫
It’s not confusing.
It’s jarring.
Because something that already felt “done” suddenly… isn’t.
And that mismatch?
That’s where real demand starts showing up.

“There’s No Plan B Here”
A lot of grocery shopping is flexible.
You go in planning one thing…
and come out with something slightly different.
That’s normal.
But not everything works that way.
Across NY, CT, MA, RI, NH, ME, and VT, Taylor Pork Roll doesn’t really have a “Plan B.”
It’s not: “I’ll just grab something similar.”
Because there isn’t really a similar.
So, when it’s not there… 🚫
The decision doesn’t switch.
It pauses.
Sometimes it becomes: “I’ll just wait.”
And that’s the part that matters.
Because when shoppers are willing to delay instead of substitute…
That’s not weak demand.
That’s strong demand that simply isn’t being fulfilled (yet).

“That Moment (You Know the One)”

There’s a very specific moment in a grocery store that almost everyone has experienced.
You walk in with a plan. 🛒
Not a loose plan—a very clear one.
You follow your usual path.
Same aisles. Same order.
You get to the spot.
And then…
Nothing. 🚫
You pause.
You lean in a little bit. 👀
Maybe you scan left to right.
Then right to left—just to be sure.
Because your brain is trying to fix the situation: “This doesn’t make sense… it should be here.”
Across NY, CT, MA, RI, NH, ME, and VT, that exact moment is happening more often than people realize.
It’s quick.
It’s subtle.
But it sticks.
Because it interrupts something that was supposed to be automatic.
And once something that was “automatic” isn’t anymore…
you start to notice it every time.

DAY 5 — “You Can’t Fake Familiarity”
Retailers are very good at trying to create demand.
Ads.
Promos.
Endcaps.
“NEW!” stickers everywhere. 📢
And those things work… sometimes.
But there’s one thing you can’t shortcut:
Familiarity. 🧠
Across NY, CT, MA, RI, NH, ME, and VT, Taylor Pork Roll doesn’t need to be introduced.
Nobody is standing there reading the packaging like:
“Hmm… interesting… tell me more…”
They already: Know it
Trust it
Understand it.
Which means the hardest part of selling anything?
Is already done.
So now the question isn’t: “How do we get people to want this?”
It’s: “How do we make sure it’s there when they expect it?”
Because right now…
That’s where things are breaking down. 🚫

“The Grocery Store Walk (You Know the One)”

Watch how people walk into a grocery store.
Not the wandering, browsing version.
The “I know exactly what I’m here for” walk. 🚶‍♂️
Across NY, CT, MA, RI, NH, ME, and VT, that walk is very real.
It’s fast.
It’s focused.
It’s borderline aggressive. 😅
People are not here to explore.
They are here to execute a plan. 🛒
They head straight to where things should be.
And when they get there…
There’s a pause.
A very specific pause.
The kind that says: “Hold on… something’s off.”
That pause might only last 2 seconds.
But it tells you everything:
The shopper didn’t come to decide.
They came to confirm something that should already be there.
