Things you can make at home that are easy, cheaper than the store and are made of actual food. 😉
#14. Granola Bars.
Now, there are a million different types of granola bars you can make but this recipe is my girls current favorite. About six months ago I stopped buying snacks. Not only are they typically full of chemicals and additives they’re also so darn expensive. These are so simple and come together quickly.
1/2 C Honey
1/2 C Coconut Oil
1 C Peanut butter
2 C Rolled Oats
1/2 Shredded Unsweetened Coconut
1/2 C Milk Chocolate
Splash of vanilla
Sprinkle of salt
*Optional* Crushed salted peanuts for the top
Combine your honey, coconut oil, peanut butter, salt and chocolate in a pan and melt over low heat. Once everything is melted, add in your vanilla, coconut flakes & oats. Mix well. Pour into a parchment lined pan. I like to use an 8X8. If you want to top with some crushed peanuts do that now. Put in the fridge for a few hours to harden. Cut and keep cold until you enjoy!
