Meet Iris, the newest member of the Penn Grows family! 🌱🐶
Penn Grows began because of our beloved Finley. After his cancer diagnosis, we started adding broccoli microgreens and other nutrient-rich greens to his diet—and that journey grew into the farm and mission we have today.
Since losing Finley, our home hasn’t been quite the same. Now Iris has arrived, bringing new energy, puppy mischief, and plenty of love. And just like Finley, she is already enjoying fresh microgreens and wheatgrass grown right here at Penn Grows.
Iris could never replace Finley, but she will grow up surrounded by the healthy habits and mission he inspired. His legacy continues—one tiny green and one very happy puppy at a time. 💚

Happy Father’s Day to the guy who keeps Penn Grows growing. 🌱💚

From early morning harvests to late-night planting sessions, Mitch does it all with a smile—and somehow still makes time to share it with his son and daughter.

One of the best parts of building a family business is creating memories together. Whether we’re at Headhouse Farmers Market, in the grow room, or loading trays before sunrise, these moments remind us why we started.

Today we’re celebrating all the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures who show up every day, lead by example, and help the next generation grow.
