Summer surprise! I have never had a lisianthus variety give me such a strong second flush. Pretty sure this has to do with my past w**d management(or lack there of!). This year I planted in a compostable w**d barrier and it seems to have made a huge difference. There were still w**ds, and volunteer celosia that snuck through, but all in all the row looks vastly different from my rows that no barrier.

Wanted to take a moment and give a farm update!

For the month of July and August we will be taking a Friday Flowers and sales break. This gives us the chance to work on soil health for the fall, get things planted for the fall, and not stress over the bug pressure. I will still post and give updates about what is to come, but we will not have flowers available. Also, if you would like to be kept more in the loop head to our website and subscribe to our newsletter! I just shared the most recent one on Monday. Did you miss it? I keep thinking about this bouquet from the spring and realized I never gave it the moment it deserves!! (I realize now on have posted about it before. Oops! But it’s too pretty not share again!) And of course I couldn’t choose an angle so I included several. lol. Plus the matching boutonnière!

The bouquet was the result of a mess up. The second bouquet I had to make for the same costumer because I got the colors completely wrong! 😑 To say they extended grace would be an understatement. I will be forever grateful for how kind and gracious they were to me!! Not to mention it was a horrendous weather day, with torrential rain, and I was sick! It was one for the books my friends. So memorable, for so many reasons!!!

Always thankful for the rain, but goodness yesterday’s hit hard!! I’ve been going out at sunset this past weekend and was able to go out last night after a full day of rain. Thankfully, the damage wasn’t too bad, but definitely some broken stems.
