Sometimes the sweetest memories show up when you least expect them! 🎃❤️

This picture from 2009 at Assiter Punkin Ranch in Floydada, Texas, popped up in my Facebook memories today, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect! They were just being interviewed on RFD-TV, and when I looked down at my phone, there was this special memory from all those years ago.

At the time, Ward and I were both attending college in Lubbock, and we were blessed to live close enough to make memories like these.

Looking back, it reminds me just how much agriculture has shaped our lives and how thankful I am for the people, friendships, and experiences it has brought along the way.

Farm life has always been so much more than just farming to us. It’s about faith, family, hard work, traditions, and the lessons learned along the way. It’s about appreciating where our food comes from, understanding the value of a hard day’s work, and never taking for granted the blessings God has given us.

One of our greatest joys is being able to share this way of life with others, especially the next generation. ❤️ We love having opportunities to teach young people about agriculture, help them experience farm life firsthand, and hopefully plant a little seed of love and appreciation for an industry that means so much to our family.

Pictures like this remind me that the memories we make and the lessons we pass down can have an impact long after the moment has passed.

We are so blessed to be part of agriculture, but even more blessed to have the opportunity to share it, teach it, and help keep the love of farm life alive for generations to come. 🌾🚜❤️

🐮💕 **Our Jersey Queens Went to School!** 💕🐮

What a blessing it was to take some of our sweet Jersey queens to visit the wonderful children at **Rise and Shine Hills!** 🐄❤️

October is **National Farm to School Month**, and we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than sharing our love for farming with the next generation!

At McCown Family Farms Dairy, we believe it's so important for children to understand **where their food comes from, how it's produced, and the hard work and love that go into caring for our animals.** 🌾🥛

Seeing the curiosity, excitement, and smiles on these children's faces reminds us why we love what we do. We aren't just raising dairy cows and producing milk — we're helping plant seeds of knowledge and appreciation for agriculture in the next generation. 🌱

We are so thankful that God has blessed our family with the opportunity to share our farm, our animals, and our passion with others.

🧀 **Cheddar day at McCown Family Farms!** 🐄

We just pulled **two big wheels of cheddar** out of the press! Now they’re ready to dry, then get waxed and tucked away to age. ❤️

There’s nothing quite like turning fresh milk from our own cows into beautiful wheels of cheese right here on the farm.

Now for the hardest part… **waiting!** 😂🧀

🌧️🐄 A Beautiful Sunday on the Farm 🤎

The girls are sure enjoying the rain and cooler weather today! There’s something so peaceful about seeing them resting in the pasture, content and enjoying the blessings of a much-needed rain.

Today we’re especially thankful for God’s provision—for the rain, the land, our cows, and the opportunity to care for them each day. Sometimes the simplest moments on the farm are the sweetest reminders of just how good God is. ❤️

Nothing like waxing cheddar! 🧀❤️ There’s so much joy in watching something we’ve worked hard to create come together.

We’re excited to see how this cheddar turns out, but it also reminds me how blessed we are to be able to do what we love, work with our hands, and enjoy the fruits of our labor. 🙏🏼

These Brown Swiss cows are just some old gentle giants… until you show them a feed bucket. 😂
Ms. Brittany is getting her a little extra treat today, but don’t stand in her way! It’s her turn for a date with the AI technician, and apparently she thinks good behavior deserves snacks. 🐄❤️
Hopefully in about 9 months, we’ll have a new little Brown Swiss calf to show for it!

People are always asking me, “What did y’all do this weekend?” ❤️

The truth is, at the farm, there really isn’t such a thing as a weekend off. There is always something to do, something to learn, and usually something messy happening! 😂🐄

But today was one of those days that reminded me just how **truly blessed we are**.

After milking, we separated cream and made fresh homemade **ice cream, yogurt, butter, and cheese**. 🧈🍦🥛🧀 We also rendered beef tallow that we’ll soon be turning into homemade soap! 🧼

These may seem like simple things, but to me, they are so much more. They are time spent working side by side, teaching our kids, learning old-fashioned skills, laughing, and making memories that I hope they carry with them for the rest of their lives.

There is something so special about a life where you can work hard with the people you love, make something with your own hands, and at the end of the day look back and know you did it together.

**God has been so good to our family.** 🙏❤️

I’m thankful for the farm, thankful for the work, thankful for the lessons, and most of all, thankful for the people I get to share it all with.

Sometimes the greatest blessings aren’t found in the big moments… they’re found in the ordinary days that we get to spend together. 🌾🐄❤️

There is nothing sweeter than hearing stories like this from our amazing customers. ❤️

One of our customers shared this with us after making butter from our fresh cream:

*"Delicious butter (churned the hard way! 😁) from our luscious McCown Family Farms cream! My 97-year-old Mama grew up on a farm and has many memories of taking turns churning butter for their family of 11. She was so excited to reminisce and enjoy the fruits of our labor. THANK YOU!!"*

This is exactly why we do what we do. Knowing that our farm-fresh cream not only makes delicious butter but also brings back cherished family memories is such a blessing. Food has a beautiful way of connecting generations, and we're honored to be a small part of those special moments.

There’s just something special about Sundays like this. ❤️
We started our day worshiping at Trail to Christ Cowboy Church, soaking in God’s goodness and the reminder of how faithful He has been to our family. Then we came home, rolled up our sleeves, and spent the afternoon in the kitchen together making cultured butter — over 5 pounds of beautiful golden butter from the milk God has blessed our farm with.

Moments like these make my heart so full. The simple things — working side by side, creating food with our hands, and building this life together — are blessings I never want to take for granted. 🧈🐄

Now it’s on to fresh mozzarella and a little creamy cottage cheese. Thank you, Lord, for providing for our family and allowing us to share it with others.

And thank YOU to everyone who supports our little family farm. We are so grateful for each order, every kind word, and every family who lets us deliver fresh milk and homemade goodies right to their doorstep every Monday and Thursday. ❤️
