When mom and dad sold their portion of the herd they went to my long time college friend that’s like family to us. These 15 bulls are out of our herd and are all 17-20 months old located out of Brenham TX. I went down and saw them today while in the area. If we lined up genetics in cattle like they do in show pigs he would never leave. You will rarely ever find a chance to buy one that we believe could be the best we have ever raised! We have bought new sires and he has too may sisters here to keep. 13 months old and if you want one that checks all the boxes and admire when you drink your coffee here is your man. Priced for what he is but still not as expensive as the ones we saw up north in sales.

When we saw his sire in person we knew we wanted to add those genetics to our herd! When we saw lot 2 we knew that’s the son that we wanted to own. When the Wienk family says that cow never missed that was music to our ears. When the data is on the best looking bull in the set it sure is an added bonus. We are super excited to partner with our friends at Link Charolais in our last herdsire we have added from an amazing program in South Dakota.

We have invested heavily this year with thousands of miles in two trips to go find bulls to rebuild our herd sire lineup with new genetics that look like the Charolais breed we have loved for 30 years! This one just like the last one has huge numbers, great feet, and very gentle! The future at Owens Charolais is as bright as the cattle market and we are beyond blessed.

We hope everyone had a fabulous Easter with loved ones! We know we sure did here at the ranch! He is Risen! 🙏🏽
