It’s been a rainy few weeks… the rain has brought a bout of clostridium to our farm. It’s been rough. We’ve lost several calves, older calves and even a few “teenagers” (10-15 months old) They are always the biggest and healthiest ones. 😢 We discovered some bad feed and we’ve done our best to mitigate it, but there isn’t a whole lot you can do but wait for drier weather.
This rainbow over our farm today was a beautiful picture of God’s faithfulness through every season. It completely encompassed our barns, including our new calf barn we’ve been building this past month. The roof and sides are on! We are so thankful for the safety of the crew working on it and that the calves will now be out of the winter elements!
Swipe left ➡️ yes, that is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow… green gold! 😂 Our compost pile is covered by tarps in the winter to protect all the good stuff from leaching away so it is ready for your gardens in the spring! Find links to purchase it on chariswaymeats.com in a few months when everything dries out again. 😎
