Red, White, & Moo Farm, LLC A dual veteran owned licensed Grade A raw milk dairy located in central Texas. Welcome to Red, White & Moo Farm! Available in glass jar or plastic milk jug.

We are a dual Army veteran Troy family dedicated to providing fresh milk to the community. We felt the perfect name to welcome you to our FARMily was Red, White & Moo Farm. Our milk is unpasteurized and non-homogenized meaning that NOTHING is added or taken away in the milk… it is all natural and cream will rise to the top. We sanitize our equipment and filter the milk to ensure cleanliness. Our milk is not collected/transported from other dairies and bottled under our name. Our milk is produced, filtered, cooled, and bottled right here on the farm. It is from our farm to your table!

**The milk is legally sold and permitted for sale by the State of Texas. This license assures the public our dairy is inspected by a registered sanitarian and milk samples are tested at a Texas certified lab for milk quality. Our small herd of cows are loved and on pasture 24/7/365 with barn access when they want it. Our cows are free to graze, eat hay, and enjoy time in the pasture. Most of our cows have been raised right here on the farm as babies and are now in the milk barn producing milk. Customers may come as often as they like and purchase as much as they want. Please call or text ahead to ensure milk is available. A “little” about us…

Melinda grew up in North Dakota on a family farm/ranch (known as The Franch) raising beef cattle and growing oats, barley, corn, and hay for the entire herd. In additional to the beef herd, dairy cows were milked, and this milk was transported to a local cheese company. Her family has a long history of farming and it was Melinda’s love of the farm to go back to the farm life after the Army. Melinda is determined to bloom where her family was planted. Melinda is an Army veteran that served for six years and continues to serve her community by working full time with the city of Temple for the past 22 years and still manages Red, White & Moo Farm. Albert grew up in the suburbs near Chicago, but has been a quick learner of farm life and loves this life. Albert retired from the Army after 24 years and is also a combat wounded veteran. He has been with the Veterans Administration for the past 14 years and arm in arm with Melinda as they manage the farm. Red, White & Moo Farm couldn’t exist without his work ethic! Melinda and Albert met in Germany and have been married for nearly 30 years. They have two daughters – Micaela and Ashley - who assist with all the chores. We are a family run business and welcome you to our FARMily!

We frequently get asked: Do you have milk available today?

Bad news: We are sold out every day by request.

😀 GOOD NEWS: We milk/work 365 days a year and bottle the milk hours after milking every day. When you pick up same day, your milk is just hours old with the actual date of milking listed on the container.

The image is a partial batch of milk from today (no cream line shown as the cream hasn't settled yet). The milk is reserved with a sticky note for families that requested milk. We are blessed to have many families that pick up on the same day every week.

😁 MORE good news: Melinda does keep a wait list and as milk volume allows, the wait list is filled. Confirmation texts are sent when milk is bottled and available for pick up. Your time is valuable and we never want you to show up with no milk available. Please call or text ahead BEFORE you make the drive if you haven't reserved milk.

🐮 **** PRICE CHANGE effective: Thursday, October 1st 🐮

****** Due to rising operating costs, we are increasing the price of our milk. We’ve held steady on our price for the past 18 months and adjustment is necessary for financial sustainability of our farm. The price of a gallon of milk is increasing by $1 and half gallon by 50 cents.
Each gallon: $12
Each half: $6.50 (per half gallon)

Peak inside the barn: rain, shine, freezing, hot, holidays… work goes on every day of the year…

** Melinda and Albert’s day starts at 5:00 am. Melinda works on the farm 12-14 hours a day/365 days a year… over 90-hour work weeks (how do you calculate that overtime?). Albert has a full-time remote office job and is required to report to work in Temple (Mon-Fri) so his time in the barn is very limited in the morning. When Albert returns home from his office job, he joins Melinda to do more work in the evening with the dairy. They are an amazing dynamic duo managing 12-14 hour workdays every single day of the year!

** The work is endless, the hours are long, and the sacrifices are heavy. Vacations are NEVER… there’s no clock to punch out from. No matter how we feel… we MUST get up and move. Farming will break your body, test your faith, and stretch your spirit thin. And still—Melinda and Albert wake up every day and do it again and again. Because it matters.

** The cost of providing quality feed to all our cows in 2025 was $40,000… this doesn’t even include all the hay we purchase as well. Wish Sam’s or Cosco had a discount for cow hay! If you think your grocery bill is high, imagine feeding the number of mouths we feed and they weigh up to 2,000 plus pounds.

** No grants paid for any of our expenses, property, or equipment. No land was inherited… we paid for all of it. We refinanced our home and used that money to provide a quality barn and milk house. With the refinance, Albert and Melinda will be in their 80’s by the time the house is paid off since they invested in YOU with quality facilities.

**We care about animals living good lives, not factory lives.

**We care about families drinking fresh milk that is real, clean, and nourishing.

**We care about the land beneath our feet, the soil in our hands, and the legacy we leave behind.

❤🤍💙 We have worked hard to keep the increase as reasonable as we can while still making sure the numbers work for our farm. We are grateful for every family that has chosen to buy milk from us whether you’ve been here for years or just discovered us. We don’t take your support for granted. We are blessed beyond measure by our milk families and thank you for supporting our family farm! ❤🤍💙

🇺🇸 LABOR DAY 🇺🇸

Funny thing about a holiday meant to celebrate the American worker… A whole lot of them are still working today to include the Moo crew. Thank you, Albert and Melinda, for working 12-14 hour days 365 days a year (that is NEVER EVER a day off in a year!).

There’s dignity in honest work, and this country depends every day on people willing to show up and get the job done—whether anyone notices or not.

To everyone who isn't working today... enjoy the day off.

And to everyone who milked cows, clocked in, fired up the tractor, opened the shop, hit the road or showed up to work even though it is a holiday — Happy Labor Day. This one’s for you 🇺🇸

UPDATE: This post isn't just about ONE jar that was returned like this. EVERY week is an "experience." If the jar smells like puke to you, then it smells like puke to us. WASH with EFFORT to clean goes a LONG way. Be RESPECTUL.

Another - We never imagined that we’d have to make a post like this.

Question: Is this at all acceptable on a clean jar return?

Answer: Be respectful and use these milk containers for MILK … return them CLEAN. Do NOT use for science experiments or to put on a permanent sticker like this. You can purchase jars like this from Walmart and HEB for your own use.

🥛We made a milk delivery to a family staying at the Silo House (Laughing Llama Farm) today. Even in 100-degree heat, Kevin (llama greeter) was there to meet us with that big toothy smile. The rest of the gang showed up for snacks too. The Silo House is such a unique place and just around a corner from us. If you are looking for a local staycation, this is the perfect location to enjoy your time. 🦙 The Silo House At Laughing Llama Farm

🎉 It's BIRTH day season for sure at Red, White & Moo! 🎉

Rebel was born on our farm nine years ago. Happy 9th Birthday Rebel! She had a bull calf (Ranger) on her own birthday. Rebel was hand milked as our family milk cow before we obtained our Grade A license to sell raw milk. She is no stranger to hand milking. We are dumping Rebel's milk since she is so fresh and decided may as well hand milk her while the other cows were being machine milked. Makes for a quick milking with three girls working together... Teamwork!

🎂 Happy Birthday Ashley 🎂

🐮Melinda and Albert would love to give Ashley the day off on her special day, but anyone that operates a true family dairy knows days off do not happen. We work 365 days a year and did Ashley complain starting her day at 5 am?… a BIG no! Good news… Ashley works HARD and plays HARD too!

🐔Ashley had themed “C” ideas for her special day: Cake, Candles, Completing, Caliber, Caramel, Cows, and Chicken Jockey. Chicken Jockey somehow got named in the day. A baby (thank you Caramel for the extra present) was born and Ashley thought Chicken Jockey was a great name. We are not so sure about that name, but hey… it’s Ashley’s birthday so Chicken Jockey it is!

🤠 What does a farm girl do on her special day?… barrels!
The arena kind of barrels AND ones that can be found at the range. Not home on the range, but a gun range.

🐴Ashley completed with Gee Gee and placed well considering she hasn’t competed competitively in almost 2 years. They are quite a dynamic duo!

* Whew… hard to imagine squeezing more in a special day, but Ashley also fired the M4 at the range.

❤️Ashley just hit 19 years old and has squeezed out every second with sunshine and smiles on her face!

❤🐮❤ Even with hot temperatures, our cows are doing an amazing job with milk production PLUS look 👀 at that cream line. Milk is from today with about 3 hours settling on the cream line. We are frequently asked if we sell cream... response always is... we do not steal the cream from our milk customers. You get FULL cream line in our milk from Jersey and Brown Swiss cows. ❤🐮❤
✅NOTE: The name on the jug isn't from a cow named Alyssa. We reserve the milk, so you don't have to worry about showing up with no milk available. We sell out almost every day so please call or text ahead and we can reserve your milk. Your milk isn't sitting on a shelf for days... our milk is just hours old when you pick up.
