Physical Therapy for our Nubian Diary goat with hoist and goat sling. Jasmine didn’t want to have anything to do with this during morning chores. It took us 3 tries to get her into the sling this morning. Lots of calories expended. Just saying! 💕🙏😮🤗

When all else fails, you buy a 1 ton foldable shop crane to hoist your disabled goat, so she can get her strength back and stand. We Gerry-rigged straps to hold her up, but we’re getting an official goat sling hopefully tomorrow. Jasmine’s temperature is going down, she’s eating and drinking. Now she has to do is stand! Fun on the Farm: Winter 2023
An attic blast hit us on Monday and will continue until Friday. Rain, snow flurries and wind keep us busy. Schlepping water to the barn from the house to the goats. They have heated water buckets, but we shut the water to the barn off so it doesn’t freeze. The Oak tree lost a couple of sizable limbs. It has some damage from the freeze a couple of years ago. I don’t know how long it will continue to provide shade for our house. Greg and I both have had a couple of close calls with gravity and ice. Who knew that gravel could be so icy?!? Stay warm, Ya’all!
