This was the first year we had deer dig up the potatoes that we plated and eat them. So we put up an electric fence. I'd say they are quick learners but they seem to touch the fence every evening, but they haven't touched the potatoes since!

Heritage Chicken is probably the best flavored chicken you can get. These birds get their flavor because they grow slower and can forage for food much more effectively than your standard grocery store breed of chicken.

Because these birds grow so slowly and they don't get very big, they generally aren't sold commercially. As a result, these are a real treat to get when they are available!
