One of my favorite native shrubs is the buttonbush. I love harvesting the unique blooms and seed heads for cut flower arrangements, but its real value goes far beyond beauty.

Buttonbush is a true wildlife powerhouse—providing nectar for native bees, butterflies, and other pollinators while offering shelter and food for birds and aquatic wildlife. It thrives in wet areas and helps support healthy ecosystems from the water’s edge outward.

Beautiful, beneficial, and native. That’s a plant worth making room for. 🌿

Every year we grow and evaluate different tomato varieties, looking at things like:

• Productivity
• Disease resistance
• Heat tolerance

But none of these really matter if it doesn’t taste amazing!

And if a tomato is delicious AND beautiful, that’s even better.

One of our longtime favorites is Pink Berkeley Tie-Dye. It consistently delivers incredible flavor, dependable production, and some of the most beautiful fruit you’ll ever grow.

This year, a newcomer caught our attention: Bronze Orb. It’s proving to be just as eye-catching, with outstanding flavor to match.
