Some of the most beautiful things we grow here arent the flowers.

I’ve come to realize that living intentionally isn’t always about doing something differently. Sometimes it’s simply about slowing down enough to include the little hands that want to help.

These dried flower bouquets are headed to market, but the memories we’re making while wrapping them are worth so much more. ❤️

Right now, mine are just getting started—and every evening the lights go off so they have a natural period of darkness before we start all over again the next morning.

These little behind-the-scenes routines are part of growing something beautiful for the holidays.

Before you buy another plant, consider growing more of what you already have! 🌱

There’s something so satisfying about learning to propagate your own plants. It’s a simple way to be more intentional in the garden, save a little money, and enjoy the process of growing.

Today I’m sharing my favorite homemade propagation mix. It’s easy to make with just a few ingredients and works beautifully for soil rolls, propagation trays, and pots.

Because sometimes growing more doesn’t mean buying more. It means making the most of what we already have.

The first amaryllis of the season are beginning to wake up! 🌱

These are my first round of bulbs, timed to bring a little color to Thanksgiving. And if you’re thinking ahead to Christmas, don’t worry! I’ll be forcing more bulbs for blooms later in the holiday season.

If you love bringing a little of the outdoors inside and decorating with things that have a story behind them, I think you’ll appreciate this as much as I do. ❤️

Not everything beautiful has to come from a store. Sometimes the prettiest touches are the simplest ones, gathered from the garden and given a new purpose.

I’m drying Roselle calyces to tuck into my Christmas wreaths this year, and I think that gorgeous natural red is going to be just perfect!

There’s something about Christmas that makes us want everything to feel a little more special.

But I think many of us are discovering that more decorations, more shopping, and more stuff aren’t necessarily what makes the season meaningful.

It’s the simple traditions. The memories we create. The beauty we surround ourselves with. Those little things that make a house feel like home.

And that’s one reason I love amaryllis.

There’s something extraordinary about bringing a living, blooming flower into your home during the holidays. Watching those magnificent blooms unfold becomes part of the experience of the season itself.

Not just another decoration, but something beautiful to enjoy. Maybe even a tradition worth keeping.

Have you found yourself paying a little more attention to what’s actually in the food you’re eating?

I know I have!

The older I get, the more I want to know what’s going into the meals I put on our table. Not because I’m trying to change everything we eat, but because I believe we can enjoy the foods we’ve always loved while being a little more intentional about the ingredients we use.

And sometimes that starts with something as simple as a can of cream of chicken soup!

I’ve been working on replacing some of our pantry staples with homemade versions, and this Cream of Anything Soup Mix is one I’m especially excited about.

It’s simple, convenient, and made with ingredients I get to choose.

If you’re in a season of life where you’re wanting to get back to simpler ingredients, less processed food, and knowing a little more about what you’re feeding your family, I think we’re going to have a lot in common. 🤍
