โก๏ธFlashback with The Grillfather ๐ฅ
June holds a special place in my heart because it marks the beginning of my journey back to the passion I thought I had lost. After my grandmother passed away in 2014, I struggled to cook or barbecue without the woman who taught me not only how to cook, but how to cook with love.
Everything changed on Father's Day weekend in June 2015 when I was gifted a brand-new barbecue pit. To others it was just a grill, but to me it represented healing, rebirth, and a fresh start after a year of mourning. In that moment, I felt my grandmother's spirit encouraging me to continue her legacy of bringing people together through food and love.
As I worked to master the art of barbecue, I began experimenting with fruit-infused flavors, starting with applesโher favorite. After months of perfecting the recipe, the result became a family favorite and a symbol of my comeback.
To honor her memory and celebrate what June means to me, I'm bringing back our limited-time Applewood Bourbon Ribs. Featuring sweet apple, cinnamon, honey, and a light bourbon glaze, they're a tribute to the woman who inspired it all. If you like cinnamon toast crunch or apple pie... this is for you ๐ซต๐ฝ
I'm grateful for God's grace, for the time I had with my grandmother, and for the opportunity to share her love through every meal we serve. Thank you, BBQ Family, for being part of this journey. Much love & God bless โค๏ธ๐๐๐ค๐ป๐ค๐พ
