We have arrived at the final week of our summer vegetable CSA! Every week we have grown, tended, harvested and packed vegetables into boxes for members of our community who made a commitment to our farm this season. They chose to source their food from us, to let the farmers, and the season to choose what they ate, to go out of their way to get their food and actively engage with where it comes from.
The world can often feel overwhelming in the face of the enormous challenges around us. But there is something deeply hopeful about seeing people come together, week after week, to create something good and tangible. To grow food. To feed one another. To care for a piece of land. To support one another’s work. To choose, in a small but meaningful way, to participate in something rather than simply consume it.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every one of our members for choosing this farm. Thank you for trusting us with your food. Thank you for taking the less convenient path, and for reminding us that convenience isn’t always the thing we value most.
