It all started in the garage of two Truckee locals. For 9 years, this ski lover and his wife, both UC Davis graduates, made great wine for their friends and family in the Truckee/Tahoe community before deciding to expand. They moved the winery into a two story barn on the river where they could make 1000 cases with the help of their daughter and friends. In 2009, they opened a tasting room on Broc

kway Road and expanded production to 2,500 cases annually. They specialize in single vineyard varietals and are known through out the area as producing high quality vintages year after year. In 2020, Truckee River Winery consolidated to their downtown Truckee production facility, closing the doors on their tasting room. They offer tours, tastings, by the glass and bottle on their petite patio in front of their iconic winery in the red barn. ​We are thrilled to announce our Summer Open Hours: Thursday – Sunday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Come soak up the sun—our beautiful garden and outdoor patios are fully open and ready for you!

The Sierras have a way of humbling us. As the snow continues to pile up today, our hearts are heavy and remain with our Truckee neighbors and the families we lost this week.

​Today, our Grass Valley location will remain closed to keep our team and community off the roads. In Truckee, we’ll be 'casually' open as we work on digging out—stop by if you’re out walking, need a warm place to duck into, or just want a quiet moment of connection.

​We are here this weekend to console, reminisce, and dig out together. We’ll be raising a glass to the resilience of this community and always, always saluting those we’ve lost.

​To our Truckee and Sierra family: We love this mountain life, but we love the people in it more. Thank you for looking out for one another.

​Talk about a mountain makeover! Check out these before and after shots of the Red Barn. One minute we’re enjoying the patio, and the next, we’re practically tunneling our way to the winery! Truckee really decided to show off with this latest storm, and we are officially buried in the best way possible.

We’re making Wednesdays a whole lot better with Wine Down Wednesday at Alibi! We’ve teamed up with our friends at to bring you a delicious four-wine tasting flight featuring Truckee River's award winning and newest releases!

Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or just here for the "pour" decisions, it’s the perfect way to escape the midweek rush. (Don't worry, we still have your favorite local beers on tap, too! 🍺).

Cheers to a fresh start! 🍷❄️
We’re raising a glass to the New Year and we want you to join us!
​We are OPEN this Friday through Sunday for one last winter hurrah. Come grab a glass and enjoy the snow before we take a little hiatus. After this weekend, we’ll be closing up shop for a month to prune the vineyard and take a holiday breather. 😴✂️🍇
​BUT, don’t go too far! We have some massive news coming down the pipeline. Make sure you’re following closely—word is their tasting room will be opening its doors very soon! 🗝️✨
