A LITTLE SNEAK PEEK…

I’ve been secretly working on something VERY special for the last couple of years… and I’m finally getting close to being able to share it with you. 🥹

Adventures at Rocky Valley Farm Coloring Book! 🐷🐄🐓🌻

Here are just a few little peeks at what I’ve been working on…

These pages are inspired by our actual farm, our animals, and all the little pieces of farm life that make Rocky Valley Farm what it is.

I have SO many pages that I’m trying to decide how big I should make the finished book before I have it printed.

A little summer catch up from the farm

We’ve been a little quiet around here this summer… and by “a little,” I mean we basically disappeared. 😂

But for good reason.

We got married! Better late than never, right? After 12 years together, we finally made it official and celebrated with our favorite people right here on the farm. It was A LOT of work, but seeing everything come together made every bit of it worth it. We couldn’t have imagined celebrating anywhere else.

And while we were busy with all of that, the farm has been changing a little too.

The goat chapter is coming to an end.
We’ve found homes for almost all of our goats and will be keeping just two. Goats were basically our gateway drug into farm life, and we’ve loved them, but the reality is that we simply don’t have the time to do everything we want to do.

And that brings us to our new main focus.

THE DONKEYS.

These two have completely stolen our hearts. We’re hoping to eventually focus on raising and breeding quality donkeys, and honestly… have you seen these faces?! How are we supposed to say no? 😂❤️

For now, the donkeys and pigs are going to get most of our attention, while we continue to dream about adding more cows someday.

We’re learning that building a farm isn’t about having all the animals it’s about figuring out what works for our family, what we truly enjoy, and what we can realistically give our time and attention to.

So here’s to a slightly quieter, slightly more focused, but still very muddy and chaotic chapter of the farm.

Thanks for sticking around while we’ve been MIA. I’m sure we’ve got lots to catch you up on. ❤️

And yes… the donkeys are absolutely going to be the spoiled children of this farm. 😂🫏

🐖 Pasture Raised Red Wattle Pork Available! 🐖

We have 1 whole hog or 2 half hogs available for our upcoming processing date of August 17th!

Pricing:
• $4.00/lb hanging weight + processing
• $100 deposit for a half
• $200 deposit for a whole

You’ll work directly with the processor which is Drummonds out of Ravenna to customize your order, choosing your preferred cuts and smoking options so your freezer is stocked exactly the way you like it.

We expect the hanging weight to be around 180 pounds, though weights can range from 150–180pounds.

Our pigs are heritage Red Wattle hogs, an American breed prized for producing flavorful, well marbled pork. The meat is naturally lean, juicy, and rich in flavor often described as having a deeper, more robust taste than conventional pork.

Our pigs are raised on rotational pasture whenever possible, supplemented with quality hay and fresh vegetables from our garden. They are never given antibiotics or growth hormones, allowing them to grow naturally in a low-stress environment. They are very loved during their time with us!

If you’ve been wanting to fill your freezer with locally raised, high quality pork, now is the perfect time!
