A new JAFSCD study of Latino/a immigrant farmers and agricultural service providers in Missouri finds that cultural misreading — not farmer capacity — drives much of the gap between Latino/a farmers and the programs meant to support them.

Today, I delivered a quarter of a beef all the way down in Osage Beach. Never did I ever expect to have interest in our meats from someone down in this area! I know it’s small, but it just puts our reach into perspective. Thank you for supporting us and our farm, no matter where you are.

Come to MRCC mentor farmer Kody Karr’s family farm on July 28 for a pasture tour and to learn about cost-share programs that can help you build a better grazing system.

This pasture tour, sponsored by Ozark Native Seed will be from 1 to 4 PM on Tuesday, July 28, at Karr’s farm near Monroe City (this is Karr and his wife, Dahrea, pictured in their pasture).
