A little piece of folk art found its home today. ❤️

Our new barn quilt tile is finally up at Winding River, adding a splash of color and a nod to the quilting traditions in WNC. I am drawn to the star pattern and it’s fun when I see something new in it.

I haven’t seen many of these in Tryon, maybe I’m the first. Some nearby mountain towns have barn quilt tours. I love it.

Weekend Vibes: Chill
Lots of freestyle riding, herd work and connection. This type of work has been beneficial to Nova. He loves being the herd leader, driving the horses to move their feet and maintain gait with the trainer’s direction.
Blows his mane back every time. Result is a much happier horse when it comes time to jump and perform.

Casanova and I are headed into our 3 year anniversary next week and we have discovered that liberty training makes our connection stronger. Nova can stand without cross ties, for bodywork, farrier, grooming and balance work. With any combination of distractions and activities.

This type of training helps overcome behavioral issues associated with anxiety, fear or defiance.
