Lollybrook Farm is looking for
🌿 PART-TIME FARM GROUNDSKEEPER / PROPERTY MAINTENANCE 🌿
📍 Tryon / Columbus Area
💵 Starting Pay: $20-25/hour based on experience
⏰ Approximately 24 hours/week — 3 days per week
📅 Year-round, consistent part-time position
Lollybrook Farm is looking for a reliable, experienced and trustworthy individual to take primary responsibility for maintaining the grounds of our private horse farm.
We are looking for ONE person who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in keeping a property beautiful, and can work independently without needing a daily task list.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Mowing and w**d-eating
• Operating zero-turn mower, tractor and farm implements
• Bush-hogging and maintaining cleared areas
• Maintaining fence lines, driveways and property edges
• Mulching, w**ding and maintaining landscaped areas
• Fertilizing, seeding and w**d control
• Spraying herbicides/chemicals as appropriate and legally permitted
• Pruning and general grounds cleanup
• Storm, leaf and debris cleanup
• Basic maintenance and cleaning of tractors, mowers and grounds equipment.
• Pressure washing grounds and equipment.
• Identifying areas that need attention and keeping the farm consistently well maintained
•Winter work will consist of more land clearing, mulching, spreading gravel, general grounds cleaning.
All tractors, mowers, implements and other equipment needed for the property are provided.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Someone with prior farm, landscaping, groundskeeping, equipment-operation or property-maintenance experience. Tractor and zero-turn experience is required.
This could be an excellent position for a semi-retired farmer, experienced groundskeeper, equipment operator or other dependable person looking for steady part-time work.
Horse experience is NOT required. This position is focused on maintaining the property and grounds, not horse care.
