Welcome to SPRING in the Blue Ridge Mountains!
What a feast - Sun light, clear skies, green things bursting out, abundant bird song and warmth…..Amen.
I have an invitation and a fabulous announcement. Just after New Years, I discovered a winery that captivated and amazed me. First off – The wines are delicious – all of them! Their tasting room is in a beautiful intimate setting complete with an outdoor deck, (2) gift shops, expansive lawn with lots of chairs, and a sprawling view of their vineyards. To top it off - they have established a thriving, dynamic wine club and provide musical events all summer!
This husband and wife team – inspired me to create assorted food pairing to show case their wines. I strongly encourage a VISIT THEIR WINERY ON YOUR OWN SOME DAY – to acquire a wine cellar “stash”. In the meantime, have the pleasure of a tasting event @ Melrose Inn. South Creek Winery Owners and I, Chef Marilyn, are aligning our talents, for your dining pleasure – Marc h 30th, 2015.
The five- course menu is attached – Please join us on the evening of March 30th, 2015 for a memorable time. It promises to be a fun-filled socializing opportunity with amazing flavors from start to finish.
Prior to each course, Marilyn will share her thoughts about the foods she selected to feature each wine and South Creek Owners will share their information about creating each wine.
