When I was young, I was always a bit smaller. I would grow envious of my peers who were successful at athletics and fitness and decided that I wanted to get in the best shape of my life. I would eventually meet my goals but through the most excruciating diet you could imagine. Have you ever had a daily diet of plain oatmeal, unseasoned dry chicken, and way too many eggs? I was absolutely miserable when it was time for my next meal because I couldn't stand the thought of eating bland slop. During this time period I was also learning about health and nutrition at Brigham Young University. I still couldn't cook but I did learn exactly how to "budget" my calories properly and I learned how to apply this knowledge to other people, not just myself. Over the years I would meet my beautiful wife and we would later be blessed with our daughter. Now most of you parents know just how hard life is with juggling an infinite amount of responsibilities and no free time for yourself. Because of this, it was so much easier to hit a drive through or shop the frozen section of the grocery store than it was to plan out and cook an entire meal. Don't even get me started on the dishes that would follow. I also hated cooking at home because I was a chef by profession, cooking for others all day long, week after week. As you could imagine this job was not good for my health, constantly being surround by such good (but bad for you) food all day. I quickly gained over 50 pounds in a very short amount of time and I could feel it. It was just so much easier to grab the quick meal, or even skip meals, than it was to spend the extra time on my personal health. The differences weren't just physical either. I was void of energy, was constantly down on myself, and could never find the motivation to fix my problems. Over the past few months I decided enough was enough and took control of my diet. I put in years of time and dedication not only to learning about health, but also learning how to make delicious food in order to come up with the best possible diet not just for me, but for everyone to enjoy. Over the past 6 weeks alone, I have lost 40 pounds and I am still making consistent progress. This is thanks to my new diet. It's literally as simple as eating the proper amount of nutrients throughout the day and being active for as little as 30 minutes a day. Just imagine the results you could see. Now, if you read this far into my story that means you are interested in one way or another, and as I see it, you now have three options. 1. You can take the time and use your resources to come up with a proper diet for yourself sometime in the future. 2. You can not do anything at all. 3. You can take a chance on me since I've done the work, and you can immediately start pursuing results. What would be the easiest choice for you?
