About Cal's Bakeshop:

Cal's Bakeshop is an at home bakery that opened for business on May of 2021. The talented individual behind all of the delicious creations brought to you is a young man by the name of Caleb. Caleb went to culinary school and after graduating, he worked as a baker at 2 different bakeries in the San Francisco, California . Within his time at both of these jobs he gained more experience around what it truly takes to make a great pastry. Unfortunately, his time with his recent bakery came to an end due to the pandemic. Shortly after, Caleb moved back home to Tucson, Arizona and saw it as an opportunity to start his own business. This was how Cal's Bakeshop came to be. Although it is an at home bakery, Caleb hopes to expand in the future.

The Black Parade Makes Its Way To The Bakeshop!

Join us as we celebrate our one-year anniversary of Cal’s Bakeshop on Broadway, alongside the 20th anniversary of My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade!

This is a free event where we’ll be listening to My Chemical Romance’s Original The Black Parade Album in its entirety!

Huge thanks to Zia Records for sponsoring this event and to Huskabees Graphics for all their work on this concept!

If you’re a fan then you know the references but to put it in simpler words, we will have two sides to this event.

The MOAT aka Our Patio:
This is for everyone who just wants to listen to the album without getting rowdy. Kind of for those elder emos who stand back at the shows because of their knee problems.

DRAAG aka Inside The Dining Room
For those wanting to sing, laugh and cry with the rest of the MCArmy! If you’ve been following the lore in their current tour, in this version the Grand Immortal is a Baker and apparently that’s me!

*No Moshing Please, this is still just a bakery and we can’t have anyone get injured or afford any damage to the property

Of course our MCR themed pastries will be there! Y’all already know the first three but we will have a couple new treats specifically for this event!

We have a limited amount of these posters to giveaway,
so just an fyi, we will only be giving these out to those who stayed for the whole event! We’ll also have a big poster we want y’all to sign as well 🙌🏽

This October, Cal joins The Black Parade! 🥁

Welcome to My Chemical Bakeshop 🍩
This concept has been in our back pocket for two years, and we have been eagerly waiting to release it in celebration of the 20th anniversary of My Chemical Romance’s iconic album. Having grown up listening to MCR, I’m excited for this theme and yes I was and still am in my Emo phase!

A couple years ago I asked Husky to create custom My Chem/Cal’s artwork. These designs have been sitting in his hard drive since then and we’re excited to finally unveil them! We’ll have stickers available too 👀

Additionally, this October marks our one-year anniversary as a brick-and-mortar Bakeshop. The past twelve months have been a massive learning curve for our team. Running a small local business comes with real challenges, and there were certainly moments where I felt the weight of it all.
Diving back into MCR’s discography proved to be the perfect coincidence, because if there’s one thing that this year has taught me is that no matter what life throws at us..
