We had a fantastic time taking the OLLI Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Meet And Eat Group to Martin’s Comida Chingona! Martin is a culinary one man band! He’s the owner and chef, and performs all the other restaurant duties like server and host! He shared amazing stories about his life as a chef (even a chef on the submarine USS Tucson!) and his family farm in Sinaloa, Mexico where he grows the yellow beans that he serves. He even painted many of the fantastic paintings that decorate the restaurant. We all had a fantastic time! Thanks for the great food and stories Martin!

Want to get lunch? 🌮 One of the programs that I’m actively participating in is the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) through the University of Arizona. OLLI encourages people age 50 and better to explore their passions, learn fun and exciting new things, and foster new friendships. No tests, just the joy of learning and community! Food has always been my passion, and one of the ways I love to share it is through my Wednesday morning OLLI Dines Out lunch events. We’d love it if you joined us! This photo was taken at a recent OLLI Dines Out lunch at the fantastic restaurant Martin’s Comida Chingona. If you’d like to learn more about OLLI’s other offerings, vist their website https://olli.arizona.edu
