Our Story

My husband Tom and I raise and sell all-natural, grass-fed and grass-finished beef, dry-aged for a full 2-3 weeks. No added growth-hormones, antibiotics, corn or chemicals of any kind. Pasture raised from birth to harvest. Spring and fall we sell Custom Cut quarter, sides and whole beef with free deliveries to Roswell, Alamogordo, Edgewood, Santa Fe and Las Vegas, NM. Retail cuts and Beef Packs are available year-round with free deliveries to same locations. These ship anywhere in the continental U.S. (Some restrictions especially during the summer months may apply.)

Our approximately 7,000-acres ranch is located in eastern New Mexico, along the Caprock south of Tucumcari, our nearest town. Tom and I have been ranching for many years and started selling grass-fed/finished beef about 12 years ago. The two of us do all the daily work on the ranch with no hired help.

We manage our ranch in an environmentally sustainable way; using holistic range management principles we practice regenerative grazing - most of the year we have all our cattle in one single herd, rotating them through 26 pastures, with very short grazing periods (average 5 days per pasture) and very long rest periods (average 130 days per pasture). This means each pasture is rested from grazing 96% of the year. Grasses are allowed to grow and establish strong roots and healthy and nutrient-dense foliage undisturbed. Any rain we get is held up by the abundance of grass so the water goes into the ground instead of running off. In addition, we are continuously working on managing and removing invasive species. All animals, wild and domestic benefit from our grazing practices. Tom is the expert in this area and is frequently requested to give grazing presentations in and outside New Mexico.

Our cattle are handled quietly using low-stress methods. The calves are conceived by our high quality Angus bulls in our pastures, and then born in the pastures, raised by their Criollo/Angus-cross mama’s for seven month after which we wean them and they graze by themselves for a couple of months before being returned to the main herd where they remain until harvested at about 16 - 17 month of age.
