Are you a new beekeeper who is getting your nucs soon? Our next workshop is for you! Sunday, May 3rd is our "Got Bees, now what?" class. We will open hives, find the queen, honey, pollen, eggs, larva, & brood. We will talk about mite control. Bring protective equipment. We will talk about what to look for when you open your hive. Some of the subjects we'll cover: Difference between honey, capped brood, & pollen. Feeding sugar syrup & pollen patties. Top feeder queen excluder trick. Getting comb built, arranging frames. When and how to add second deep & super. Entrance reducer size. Sign up on our website to register as class size is limited.
