Afghan Cuisine will once again be part of the Global Gatherings celebration this Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at the ONEOK Boathouse!

For the third year in a row, we’ll have a table offering authentic Afghan food samples made with love and tradition. We’re excited to share the rich flavors of Afghanistan with our Tulsa community.

Today, we had the pleasure of being part of a project at TU University, where one of the owners of Afghan Cuisine shared our mission and the rich cultural heritage behind Afghan food. It was an incredible experience to introduce our traditional dishes to the students, giving them a taste of Afghan culture and the values and history that our cuisine embodies.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to TU University, especially to Professor Emily Contois, for trusting us and providing a platform to share Afghan culture through food. We are deeply grateful for the chance to discuss the journey of Afghan Cuisine, including the challenges and triumphs of starting and managing our business, especially in this chapter of our lives.

It was inspiring to connect with the students in Professor Contois’s “Food Media” class, exploring together the deeper cultural significance of food, from historical roots to modern transformations. We look forward to continuing this exchange and sharing more of our story. 💙

We are thrilled to share that our participation at the Global Gatherings: South and Central Asia event was a great success! It was a fantastic opportunity to present Afghan cuisine to our community, and we are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm.
