Stopped by my dad’s house today to check on things. I was excited to see the goldenrod, and Astors that he planted beginning to bloom and covered in pollinators.

I know he would be so happy to see that.

I sure miss my dad, and appreciate that he instilled the importance of nature in both my sister and I.

❤️🍯 UPDATE — THE MISSING HONEY HAS BEEN PAID FOR!

I’m so happy to report that this was exactly what I hoped it was — an honest mistake.

The customer’s phone died while she was trying to pay, and she has now reached out and taken care of the payment.

Even better, before we got everything sorted out, one of her friends also contacted me and offered to pay for the honey on her behalf. That says a lot about people.

My faith in the world is restored tonight. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who shared the post, and especially to my fellow Tulsans who continue to make our little honor-system honey stand possible.

We couldn’t do this without the honesty and support of this community. 🐝🍯

Cheers!

Maximilian sunflower is one of my favorite Oklahoma natives. I planted it once, and it’s spread beautifully on its own. This time of year, it absolutely comes alive—the blooms are covered with honeybees, butterflies, and other pollinators. One of those plants that just keeps getting better every year.

UPDATE - First 25 vendors and 50 customers will be given the status of "Founding Member" for life! With it will likely come future privileges, swag etc!

We’re opening up GrowMakeBake.com for early testing! 🌱🍞🍯

It’s still in active development, and an iPhone app is on the way, but the website is ready for people to start trying it out.

If you’re a local vendor, create an account and test your listing. If you’re a customer, sign in, explore nearby stands, save your favorites, and see what’s fresh around you.

We’d love your feedback — what works, what’s confusing, what’s missing, and what would make you use it regularly.

Try it here: growmakebake.com

Vendors and customers are both invited to jump in and help us shape it before the official launch.

We want a better way to connect little farm stands like ours with our local customers, and lets be honest, we want a better way to find those stands so WE can be customers too!

🍞🍪 Tulsa… where are all the little food stands hiding?!

Today I stopped by Bun Intended in Holiday Hills — a little self-serve stand loaded with sourdough, cinnamon rolls, cookies and other homemade goodies.

And I thought… how many more places like this are hiding around Tulsa?!

Running our own little self-serve honey stand, I know how much every stop, share and word-of-mouth recommendation means to a tiny local business. So I’d love to use our page to help people discover some of the OTHER great cottage stands around town.
