Here in Tulsa we’ve had about 6” of fresh powder(ed donuts) so far and are expecting a few more inches Saturday evening into Sunday. 🍩
What's an easy way to remember the different types of precipitation? Donuts!
Rain is just liquid rain above 32°F. Sleet is an ice pellet that bounces. It's NOT hail! That's a thunderstorm thing.
Freezing rain is liquid rain that freezes after it gets to the ground. This creates a glaze on surfaces and trees. It MUST be 32 or below for freezing rain to occur.
And of course, snow we're all familiar with.
Now I'm hungry... If you see me eating 4 hot donuts, no you didn't... 😂
