After 24 hours or longer I strain the broth to can. The bones then get smashed up and put on a pan in the oven on low to dry. The veggie scraps can be dried and put in the garden with the bone meal or can be taken out and given to animals if you have them

After being I. The crock pot 24 plus hours the bones smash easily.

2 whole rotisserie chickens, picked off all the meat to save for 4 or more recipes later. Put all the bones in the crock pot to make bone broth also added my veggies scraps; carrot tops, onion peels, celery ends. No waste here.

Making chocolate muffins for the picky kids. Sprinkled in some dried zucchini to add some hidden variety to their diets. And always use a scraper to use all the batter.

I try to be sustainable in almost everything I do. We had a freezer die. We caught it in time and was able to cook/preserve the food in it. These are shredded meat that we weren’t gonna have room for so I dried it. It will be used as topper on dog feed and chicken feed a little each day.
