Folks sometimes ask me why we have goats, when we dont breed them or milk them. I always reply "vegetation management," and this is what I mean. James and I cut a path through this thickly forested part of the property and are getting ready to move the goats in this weekend. This is brush so thick you can't even walk through it. Hopefully, after a few weeks/months of goats we will be able to get in and thin it further. Goats are sometimes pesky (i.e. escape artists), but they serve an important role on the farm.
