Celebrating Young Artists: A Fresh Perspective

Nine emerging artists from Wyoming County are stepping into the spotlight at this year’s “Celebrating Young Artists” exhibition at Nimble Hill Winery on Sunday, Oct. 5 from 1PM to 4 PM.

Their work spans an impressive variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, mixed media, pencil, watercolor, colored pencil, charcoal, and even the unexpected use of coffee. Within the show, visitors will discover both abstract explorations and finely detailed realism, each piece reflecting the individuality of its creator.

Join us in supporting and encouraging these rising talents as they share their vision, creativity, and passion with the community.

Ranging in age from 16 to 17, Maia Montross, Brandie Olshan, Olivia Williams, Lillian Kingston, Rebecca Thomas, Madison Holiday, Grace Volker, and Kara Wilbanks bring fresh perspectives and bold creativity to the community.

Their work spans an impressive variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, mixed media, pencil, watercolor, colored pencil, charcoal, and even the unexpected use of coffee. Within the show, visitors will discover both abstract explorations and finely detailed realism, each piece reflecting the individuality of its creator.

As these young artists experiment with technique and expression, they are also navigating something deeper, the search for identity through the lens of their generation. Together, their voices form a powerful chorus of creativity, inviting the community to see the world from their perspective.

Introducing Nimble Hills' newest featured artist - Lois Wright

Hello!
I have always loved to create things, whether painting or making papier mache sculptures. I never took the time to follow this dream until recently. I was nudged into creating and painting a five-foot dragon out of a flamingo for my friend, Eileen, a few years ago.
I realized how happy this made me, and I haven’t looked back. So, with love, encouragement and tons of patience from my husband Eric, my children, Jessica, Shay, Cole and Jenna, I have continued to create!
I am self taught. Not much of a rule follower, as you may notice in my artwork. I love using acrylic and will paint pretty much anything I can put my hands on.
I find this journey to be terrifying and exhilarating all at once. I hope you enjoy my artwork as much as I do in creating it.
