Cockrell Banana Co. A Family owned business providing Fresh Produce since 1930! We are Open to the Public & Deliver to restaurants, schools, & grocery stores in MS, AL, & TN.

Earl Cockrell founded Cockrell Banana Co. in 1930. Today we are continuing to provide fresh fruits, vegetables, and eggs to our customers. We deliver to many businesses such as: restaurants, school, grocery stores, general stores, churches, caterers, etc. Our trucks travel throughout North East Mississippi, and parts of Tennessee and Alabama. Cockrell Banana Co. is also open to the public as well

as a wholesaler. Any one is welcome to walk in the big red doors during business hours and purchase our fresh produce.

U is for Ugli Fruit. This is a fruit that is a hybrid of an Orange, Grapefruit, & Tangerine. This is actually a fruit we have never sold before! (At lest in recent memory!) Q is for..... Quince! A quince is one of the few fruits that Cockrell Banana cannot readily order. Native to Asia & the Mediterranean, a quince is closely related to apples & pears. Check out the picture above to see the difference! One big difference if that a Quince is Very Tart! And it is mostly used in jams, jellies, marmalades, & puddings.

P is for Potatoes! Now, not all potatoes are created equal. The red potato has Vitamin B6 that helps reduce stress. Yukon Gold potatoes are high in iron to help with cell growth. Then there are sweet potatoes that have tons of potassium to help relax muscle contractions, reduce swelling, & protect the kidneys. But remember, about 1/2 of all the potatoes' nutrients comes from its skin!
