We’re still recovering from a week spent running across Tennessee between the Tennessee State Fair and Appalachian Fair… but it was one heck of a run. 🏆

The cattle showed up, the crew put in the miles, and we came home with plenty to be proud of.

Now give us a minute to gather up all the banners, backdrops, and results. 😂

TPHT Talking Smack is doing what he does best… talking smack and collecting banners. 🏆

This weekend, Smack added another one to the collection as Grand Champion Percentage Simmental Bull at the Tennessee State Fair!

Safe to say, he’s earning the right to keep talking. 😏

BLUEGRASS STRIKES AGAIN. 🟣🏆

STCC Bluegrass 114M added another big one to his resume at the Indiana State Fair:
🏆 Champion Simmental Bull
🏆 3rd Overall Supreme Open Bull

We’ve said it before, but Bluegrass just keeps giving us reasons to say it again. We’re proud of what this bull continues to accomplish in the show ring, and even more excited about the impact we believe he’s going to make as a breeding piece.

A huge thank you to Trennepohl Farms for the work, care, and commitment they continue to put into Bluegrass. They’ve done an outstanding job getting him to the ring and giving him every opportunity to shine.

Meet the Connection.

Great cattle begin with great breeders, and we're excited to introduce one of the programs behind the Hoosier Connection Production Sale.

Golden J Farms, owned by Mark and Stuart Johnson of Booneville, Mississippi, has spent nearly five decades building a program centered around one simple philosophy: Maternal Focused. Performance Driven.

Their favorite donor, Ingram Mulben Pride 3793, has played an important role in shaping the genetics behind their herd and reflects the kind of productive, functional cattle their program is known for.

This November, Golden J Farms will be offering the first progeny of STCC Bluegrass, giving buyers an exciting opportunity to invest in the next generation of their program.

The heat may be taking over this week, but the crew is making sure the cattle stay as comfortable as possible.

That means plenty of fresh water, keeping a close eye on every pasture, checking cattle a little more often, and letting the ladies spend their days doing what they do best, finding shade and taking it easy.

Summer in the South isn't for the faint of heart, but taking care of the cattle doesn't stop when the temperatures climb.

We're thankful for the green grass the rain has brought us. Now we'd be just as thankful for a little relief from the heat.

Stay cool out there, and don't forget to check on your livestock.

We talk to our cows.

Sometimes it's words of encouragement.
Sometimes it's asking them nicely to cooperate.
And sometimes... well... we can't repeat everything that's said in good company. 😅

Around here, the ladies are busy doing what they do best—raising the next generation, taking care of their calves, and proving every day why we believe great cattle start with great cows.

It's not glamorous. It's not loud. It's just good cows quietly taking care of business.

And honestly, that's our favorite kind of day.
